Our Policies

At Alexandria City High School, Titans value PRIDE: Preparation, Respect, Integrity, Determination and Excellence. In ACHS Model UN, our Titan values hold strong. During ALXMUN I, our policies are rooted in respect, empathy, and cross-cultural understanding. It is paramount that every delegate approach our conference with an open-minded perspective, ready to tackle issues with thoughtfulness and creativity.  Although awards are wonderful to strive for, we encourage delegates to prioritize meaningful debate and positive experience.

ALXMUN I is a No-Tech conference. Delegates will not be allowed to use any form of technology in any committee, including computers or cellular devices.

Position papers are required for delegates in General Assemblies and Specialized Committees. Position papers must be turned in to the chairs at the start of committee in order for a delegate to be eligible for awards. The only exception to this rule are Crisis Committees. Any form of plagiarism, including the usage of AI, will result in immediate disqualification. Pre-writing or working on any form of text before start of committee is also strictly prohibited.

Awards will be granted to delegates who demonstrate outstanding effort and skill in committee. These delegates are selected by the dais.

Every delegate is expected to wear Western business attire, with the exception of if a specific committee or position calls for a different dress code.

If there are any questions regarding the conference, please feel free to contact us at achsalxmun@gmail.com.
